Artist's Description
The old, cardboard 3-D glasses intrigue me. This simple, flimsy object promises a walk into another, more fantastic world. Sometimes the glasses deliver on their promise and sometimes use of them results in a huge letdown.
A pair of 3D glasses was sitting around my home for no particular reason, except that I hadn't found a place to store them. I photographed them and liked the image. Then I enhanced it digitally with a bit of texture. The colors of the lenses were captured naturally.
